About Me
Last year I recognized the need to inspire students in those in-between, confusing middle school years. The school lacked both a theater program and a band mentoring program. I was fortunate enough to have experience and training in both, and had previously attended Stella Adler, Stagedoor Manor, and Broadway Workshop. I met with the heads of each department.
First up was theater. With the guidance of the drama class instructor, I introduced Improvisation in a weekly after-school class. The program, now in its second year, has alum poised for their high school theater curriculum as well as newbies who are excited to join the troupe.
The band mentoring program had a slower start. I was then a junior in the select High School Wind Ensemble (saxophonist) when I proposed it to the head of the department. The band mentoring program, suspended during the pandemic, will resume this year with me managing the effort.
Songwriting
I’ve loved listening to and singing along with Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Frank Sinatra for as long as I can remember. I asked for my first instrument at age 4: the violin. It wasn’t long before I requested a stand-up bass and then piano lessons. By middle school I picked up the saxophone and dabbled with the guitar. By 16 I was in the studio, recording and producing my own songs—which I continue to do.

Comedy
I got the comedy bug early on when I was the youngest kid to get cast with a leading role in a local theater summer production of Beauty & the Beast Jr. I was a 7 year old LeFou. The director said he’d never seen anyone as young as I with that level of comedic timing. I guess years of watching Seinfeld with my folks—before I picked up the innuendos—paid off.
